Quasi-Architectural
2018, acrylic paint on canvas, masking tape on the wall, 5.9 x 3.2 ft; 180 x 100 cm
I made these paintings, dominated by numerous artificial divisions, in order to set the avant-garde tradition against reality references. Geometric forms have been merged with urban spaces, hence their mimetic nature. They are intended to illustrate order and stability, which, however, gives a sense of alienation.
